Who's Covered?

In this section, you'll find eligibility information for the Health & Dental Plan, other student services, and family enrolments.

Vision and travel benefits are included in the Health portion.

Health & Dental Plan

Automatically covered students

• Full-time and part-time undergraduate students, including international students
• Co-op students currently on an officially recognized co-op work term
• Students who come to Waterloo on exchange

Students not automatically covered but eligible to self-enrol

• Students on a medical leave of absence

Students not eligible for coverage

• Students registered solely in online programs

All enrolments must be completed during the Change-of-Coverage Period. If you’re not sure if you're eligible, check your Quest account or contact Studentcare. If you aren't billed the WUSA Health and WUSA Dental fees on your Quest account, then you aren't automatically covered by the Plan.

Coverage for Your Family
