ASEQ | Studentcare is the leading provider of student health and dental plans in Canada, serving over 1,000,000 students at more than 95 post-secondary institutions/student associations across the country.
In addition to health and dental coverage, we offer a series of innovative services that provide mental health support, legal assistance, virtual health care, and other well-being resources to students.

Our History
Founded in 1996, ASEQ | Studentcare was the result of student association leaders joining forces to enact a common vision. They were committed to offering health and dental plans that were simple to use, empowering, and tailored to students’ needs.
As part of this vision, we’ve always worked to demystify insurance and help students effectively access all the care they need. As innovators in the industry, we were the first student plan administrator to launch an in-house member services centre and to introduce secure online opt outs. Now we're the largest student health and dental plan administrator in Canada, and we continue to grow and enhance our services.
Our Role
As an administrator, on behalf of your student association/institution, ASEQ | Studentcare:
negotiates group plans and services that offer the best possible mix of benefits and features at the most affordable cost
communicates program details to students through a variety of media, including web content, emails, flyers, etc.
answers students’ questions about their benefits/services and liaises with insurance companies and service providers to resolve complex cases
collects feedback from students on service satisfaction and awareness
and more!
Our Networks
We’ve set up extensive and exclusive Networks of health, dental, and vision professionals across Canada who have agreed to reduce the cost of their services for our Health & Dental Plan members. Savings from ASEQ | Studentcare Network professionals are in addition to Plan coverage, and they help ensure that students get the most out of their Plan.
Of course, students are always free to visit the health professional of their choice to use their insured benefits. But by consulting a member of the ASEQ | Studentcare Networks, they can get additional coverage and save even more.
Our Commitment to Serving Students: Beyond Health & Dental Plans
In addition to providing our Health & Dental Plans, ASEQ | Studentcare actively supports the student community with a number of other initiatives.
Mental health:
Our Studentcare Psychology Network allows our Plan members in eligible locations to consult psychologists at preferred rates. We also offer student mental health and wellness services designed to provide easy, quick access to mental health professionals.
Access to medical care:
Recognizing that busy schedules and long wait times at clinics present barriers to care for many students, we offer convenient, flexible virtual health-care service options.
Legal resources:
Our innovations include a selection of legal programs designed to give students access to professional legal assistance for issues relevant to them.
Celebrating diversity:
Our service options include coverage for gender-affirming care, and our employees regularly participate in training on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion, among other initiatives. See the

Giving back:
We support various social initiatives benefiting students through our partnership with the
Social Collective
, a student-focused non-profit organization.
Environmentally friendly best practices:
Always conscious of the need to minimize our carbon footprint, we print on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-Certified Recycled paper, and we make the most of QR codes, emails, and other digital communication strategies to reduce print items where possible.
