The Exception Request system allows students to request opt outs or family enrolments after the Change-of-Coverage & Opt-Out Period has ended. You’ll need to provide basic information, as well as an explanation as to why you should exceptionally be allowed to opt out of or enrol in the Plan after the end of the Change-of-Coverage & Opt-Out Period.
You will only have one opportunity to submit an Exception Request, so please make sure to describe your situation clearly and upload all documents supporting your request.
If your student association requires proof of coverage to opt out of the Plan, you’ll need to provide proof of alternative coverage (e.g. a copy of your benefits card or a letter from your employer).
Please note that Exception Requests can take up to 30 days to process.
